THE COMPANY

On completion of a three year apprenticeship, Darren Mayne qualified as a British Gas Service Engineer in September 1982.  After working in the Lincolnshire area until 1994, he moved on to gain experience further a field.

Working as a contractor took him to the four corners of the UK, as well as in and around the capital.  It was during this time that his expertise in fault finding was recognised and, after further training reached technician status. Following promotion to Senior Engineer, Darren became involved in the training of Apprentices.

This led to a spell abroad, leading a team of Gas Heating Engineers on building sites in southern Germany.

His wandering over, he returned to his roots with British Gas before finally realising his goal and forming Mayne Gas Heating Ltd in April 2004, the culmination of 25 years experience in the gas industry.
